Ecological Footprint
Organically grown food, production-oriented marketing and sustainable packaging – it’s all part of a strategy with an increasing number of suporters. Organic products and recyclable cardboard boxes made of corrugated board enable both an environmentally friendly way of living and producing and the respectful use of natural resources. As a result, the ecological footprint can be kept relatively small.

For the newly certified organic wine selection from Domaines Rouvinez in Sierre, Model SA in Moudon contributed an appealing, stable and environmentally friendly cardboard box. Made from 100% recyclable, double-layer E flute, the die-cut packaging helps to reduce the transport volume and simultaneously has stable handles that allow the precious contents to be brought into the shop and to the consumer safely. The material, which was printed in the flexo process demonstrates excellent runnability in the printing machine at the same time. It’s an extremely successful solution for this high-class organic product – something that wineries and Model can both agree on.

The high demands placed on the packaging’s ecological footprint apply to Domaines Rouvinez and also, of course, to other suppliers. For this reason, the Rouvinez family chose to make the bottle with a particularly light type of glass that is manufactured in Switzerland. This also helps to minimise the environmental impact of production, transport and recycling.
