Successful jury meeting of the Model Young Package Award
This year's jury session of the Model Young Package Awards was successfully concluded. Chaired by Christian Zanzotti, founder of Zanzotti Industrial Design, over 120 packaging concepts were evaluated.

This year's Model Young Package Awards 2023 jury meeting took place in Frankfurt, Germany. Headed by Christian Zanzotti, founder of Zanzotti Industrial Design, over 120 packaging concepts were evaluated.
The other members of this year's jury included distinguished industry representatives, including Petr Kundrata, project manager for packaging innovation at Plzensky Prazdroj, a.s., a leading brewery company in the Czech Republic. Also on the jury was Jörg Peissker, managing director of Pabst & Richardz, a subsidiary of the Beretzen Group. The jury was also completed by Christian Schiffers, Managing Director of Fachverband Faltschachtel-Industrie, and Yücel Metin, Head of Packaging and Competence Center at Model Group.
The jury intensively discussed the submitted concepts and evaluated them according to criteria such as innovation, creativity, design, functionality and sustainability.
Of the more than 120 packages admitted to the jury session, the winners were selected in the Unlimited and High-School categories, as well as a special award recognizing an exceptional achievement.
Challenging choice with high quality packaging
"The quality of packaging submitted this year was impressively high, which made the selection process particularly challenging for the jury," said Yücel Metin, Group Head of Packaging and Competence Center at Model Group. "The Model Young Package Award provides a unique platform to combine the latest industry insights with innovative ideas from young designers. The results are groundbreaking for our customers and the entire packaging industry."

Introduction of the Audience Award
A special highlight of this year's edition of the Model Young Package Awards is the introduction of the new "Audience Award" category. Among the 20 packages selected by the jury, public voting will take place starting in July. Anyone interested can choose their favorite and vote for the package they think is the most convincing. The packaging with the most votes will finally be awarded the Audience Award.
Award ceremony in Prague
The winners of the Audience Award and the three winners of the High School and Unlimited categories will be announced and honored at an awards ceremony in September. The award ceremony will take place in Prague.
