Chroma X Pro - High quality flexo postprint on corrugated board
We have placed an order with Koenig & Bauer Celmacch for a Chroma X Pro with a working width of 2,100 mm and seven printing units. The new press will be delivered in summer 2024 and installed at the factory in Weinfelden.
"The chemistry between us was right from the start, which of course helps enormously with a project like this," says Erol Gencoglu, Head of Production. First and foremost, however, we had very clear ideas about the press and technology: in particular, short makeready times, intuitive, modern operation and a very high level of automation were essential expectations for us, which Koenig & Bauer Celmacch can simply fulfil."
- Highest automation and significantly reduced makeready time
- Production speeds up to 14'000 sheets / per hour
- 7 colours
- No transport belts
- Screen printing <62 l/cm
- No infeed rollers -> No shaft compression
- Integration of further technical features in machine
- Already the third corrugated board processing machine for Model AG
About Chrome X Pro 2100
The system has a roller-less infeed so that the corrugated sheets are conveyed into the machine without damaging the material. The vacuum roller transport within the Chroma X Pro is low-wear and thus ensures considerably lower spare parts and maintenance costs. Blank cleaning in the printing unit, washing and pail ejection are all fully automatic on the Chroma X Pro, based on a machine-controlled job comparison - this shortens makeready times. At the same time, the operating personnel at the press are relieved and can take on other tasks. The register control system and print image control are also part of the press equipment, as is the Easy Job Change, which makes it possible within 180 seconds to start the new production with the digital workflow of the Chroma X Pro. The follow-up job can already be loaded and preloaded during ongoing production.
"We are delighted that Model and Koenig & Bauer, two extremely innovative companies, are working together on this exciting project. A big thank you to the Model team for the order and thus their confidence in our machine technology and expertise," adds Peter J. Rickenmann, Managing Director Koenig & Bauer Switzerland.
