Powering the paper cycle with electricity

Every day, our trucks deliver corrugated packaging to customers and bring recovered paper and board back into the recycling loop. Covering many kilometres is part of the job. That is why we have taken a close look at how we can make our transport operations more sustainable.

With the new eActros 600, we have taken another important step forward.

On our radar for quite some time

"Matthias Hess, Head of Logistics, and I have had our eye on the eActros for quite some time," says Olivier Bron, Team Leader Dispatch.

The development of electric mobility in heavy-duty transport has made significant progress in recent years. What impressed us most was the vehicle’s range: with up to 500 kilometres without recharging, the eActros 600 is currently one of the electric trucks with the longest range on the market.

The vehicle was purchased from LARAG in Wil.

In daily operation

The new eActros 600 is not being used for showcase projects, but where it delivers the greatest benefit: in day-to-day operations. It transports corrugated packaging to our customers and brings recovered paper and board back to our sites on the return journey.

The first trips have shown that the electric truck is ideally suited for planned transport operations and long-distance routes.

Sustainability on the move

The new eActros 600 produces no direct CO₂ emissions during operation and supports our efforts to reduce environmental impact throughout the entire value chain.

While the eActros delivers corrugated packaging to our customers, it is also helping to drive the future of our closed paper cycle.
