The highlight of this year's Model Young Package will be the traditional Award Ceremony.
Bringing together the design community, packaging industry professionals, customers and enthusiasts, the event promises the announcement of the best Unpacking Taboo creations and accompanying entertainment within a unique design festival Meat Design Ostrava.

- Dress code: Smart casual
- How to get there?
Tram: Take a tram to Výstaviště or Karolina stop.
- The venue is approximately 1 minute on foot from Výstaviště and 5 minutes from Karolina.
Bus: Get off at Ostrava ÚAN (Central Bus Station).
- The venue is approximately 10 minutes away on foot.
Train: Arrive at Ostrava hlavní nádraží (Main Railway Station).
- Continue by public transport to Výstaviště or Karolina, or take a taxi. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes.
Plane: Fly to Leoš Janáček Airport Ostrava (OSR) or Katowice Airport (KTW).
- From Ostrava Airport, continue by train, bus or taxi. The journey takes approximately 30–40 minutes.
- From Katowice Airport, continue by direct bus, private transfer or rental car. The journey to Ostrava takes approximately 1.5–2 hours.
If arriving by car, we recommend using the available parking zones in the area.
Program Overview
- Open doors and welcome drinks
Arrive early, take off your coat and enjoy a welcome drink with delicious fingerfood.
As a registered participant, you will also receive a voucher to get a hot meal from a local food truck/catering stand.
- Award ceremony
The main programme will include the presentation of the initiative and the announcement of the best prototypes:
Round 1 – Open Contest:
- Top three authors in the Unlimited category
- Top three authors in the High School category
- Innovation Centre and the Chairman of the Jury prize
- Winner of the Public Online Award
Round 2 – Professional Challenge:
- Top three authors with prototypes according to a briefing by our client.
You can also look forward to an exciting supporting program and theme announcement for MYP 2027.
- After party with a DJ
Meet the other competition participants, exchange experiences and tips, discuss your career opportunities with one of our business partners or jury members over a drink or a tasty snack – or simply enjoy the party.
