Independent assessment to support our customers
Expectations for transparency and evidence to support sustainability information are increasing in the packaging industry. Customers need reliable information not only about the properties of individual packaging solutions, but also about how their suppliers address environmental issues, working conditions, ethics and sustainable procurement.
EcoVadis assesses these areas using a consistent methodology. It evaluates the quality and maturity of company policies, objectives, implemented actions and documented results. These may include efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption or to protect employees’ rights. The assessment also takes into account the company’s size, industry and country of operation.
Customers can use the results to support supplier selection and regular supplier evaluations, supply chain risk management and their own sustainability reporting.
