Preview the best packaging proposals for the premium chocolate producer Läderach.
Professional Challenge
The Professional Challenge invites six finalists – two from the jury, two from public vote and two nominated professionals – to take on a real-world brief. This year with Läderach Chocolatier Suisse.
On the Wave of Chocolate Flow
Libor Vožda (CZE)
Inspired by Läderach’s original motifs, I aimed to evoke luxury and sophistication within the limits of paper construction. The chest-like shape evolved through working with their textures—playful like flowing chocolate. The design balances function and elegance, with clean, minimal shapes that keep the contents secure and accessible, using as few decorative elements as possible.
FrischSchoggi Concept
Daniela Švédová (CZE)
Created for a Läderach competition, this packaging design reflects the brand’s values of quality, craftsmanship, and aesthetic experience. I aimed to balance elegance, simplicity, and originality while emphasizing functionality and the unboxing moment. Premium chocolate deserves more than great taste—it should offer a complete sensory experience, with packaging that’s both practical and sustainable.
RevealBox – The “Schiffli” Evolution
Lukas Klimpel (GER)
RevealBox reimagines Läderach’s “Schiffli” pack with a refined, modern silhouette and enhanced functionality. Made from solid board, it features a large window for striking visibility and a clean front with only the iconic logo. A tilt for display, tamper tab, and click-lock closure add quality and ease. Flat-packed and machine-ready, it balances bold design, premium feel, and production efficiency—while keeping the focus on the chocolate.
Dampfli
Cristina Mollinedo Deschler (ESP)
Dampfli is an alternative packaging solution based on the current Läderach’s Shiffli model, but redesigned with a new structure and added functionality to enhance both the consumer experience and production efficiency.
Chocolate House
Lilla Ősz-Varga (HUN)
This two-part packaging features a stable holder box and a foldable sleeve—both glue-free and precisely shaped for strength and elegance. Chocolates are securely held upright, with playful window cutouts for visibility. A central handle adds portability, while foldable tabs ensure closure. The open design calls for individual foil wrapping, which supports hygiene, automation, and offers a branding opportunity for a premium feel.
Packaging for open sales
Anna Štěpánová (CZE)
This design reimagines the classic chocolate bag with an elegant slide-out feature that enhances both presentation and handling. Made from recyclable paper and foil, it offers clear product visibility and a surprising printed interior for a “wow” effect. The stable base and accordion sides adapt to different quantities, while a simple fold-and-sticker closure keeps it secure. Designed for beauty, function, and sustainability.
