Model AG wins 2009 WorldStar Award for its "Triangolo" display

Internatinal award for the "Triangolo" display series

Demand for innovative display solutions is growing everywhere. Following its success in the 2009 SwissStar Awards, the "Triangolo" display solution has now received a "WorldStar Award 2009" from the World Packaging Organisation. The award underscores the innovativeness of Model AG.

Convening in Mount Lavinia, Sri Lanka on November 17, 2009, the jury, which consists of 14 country representatives from the World Packaging Organisation (WPO) and one representative of the International Packaging Press Organisation (IPPO), chose 129 WorldStar Winners from among the 237 entries received from 35 countries.

The 2009 WorldStar Award will be presented at a ceremony in Beijing, China in the first week of June 2010. The winner of the 2009 WorldStar Sustainable Packaging Award will also be announced at the award presentation ceremony.

The "Triangolo" display series
"Triangolo" was first successfully used for Nestlé's "Les petit plaisirs" display series. High flexibility and load bearing capacity, a single material and eye-catching advertising are the main features of this display solution. Thanks to the high load-bearing capacity of 180 kg (at least 45 kg per tray), every square centimeter of product space can be filled; Nestlé, for example, packed it with bottles of salad dressing.

In addition, the display can be quickly and easily assembled. An innovative suspension and grid system allows tray height and tilt to be adjusted. Thus, the display system is flexible and can be used for different products or quickly adapted to changes in product range. As it is constructed of a combination of different types of corrugated board, the display is a monomaterial product and hence easy to dispose of.
