    Third factory in Poland, Nowa Sól - In October 2015, Model acquired a 84,715 m2 industrial site in western Poland, including a production and storage facility with an area of around 20,500 m2. Model is already active in the Polish market with corrugated board plants in both Biłgoraj and Czosnów.

    Global Packaging Alliance Arkay & Model - Combining over two centuries of talent, expertise and innovation, we are excited to announce our collaborative Global Alliance with Arkay Packaging.

    Model Holding AG is merging its operating group companies in Switzerland with Weinfelden-based Model AG with effect from 1 January 2015. Support processes for all plants will be centralised as a result. All Swiss production sites, in Au (SG), Moudon, Niedergösgen and Weinfelden, will continue in operation, as will the three Model Pack Shops.

    Model celebrates its 125th anniversary. Acquisition of Czech co-packer KPM CARE s.r.o., Nymburk.

    Acquisition of folding box producer Cofinec Bohemia a.s., now Model Obaly, Hostinné, CZ.

    Acquisition of Polish corrugated cardboard producer Tek-Pak in Czosnow, PL, renamed Model Tek-Pak.

    Acquisition of corrugated cardboard plant Lovincic d.d., Zagreb – now Model Pakiranja d.d., HR.

    Takeover of Kramp & Comp. GmbH – now Model Kramp GmbH Hanau, D.

    Acquisition of 70% of MB Karton, Spol.s.r.o., Moravské Budějovice, CZ.

    Opening of new corrugated board factory, Model Opakowania Sp. z o.o., Bilgoraj, PL.

    Opening of new Czech corrugated board factory, Model Obaly, in Nymburk near Prague.

    Commencement of the production of corrugated boards and processing them into packaging.

    Following Otto Model's death, Els Model takes charge of the company under the name of Otto Model & Co, leaving a huge impression on the business over the following 40 years.

  • 1939

    Commissioning of the first cylinder mould carton machine, marking the transition from a workshop operation to an industrial firm.

  • 1931

    Firm relocates to Weinfelden, CH.

  • 1929

    Otto Model takes over the company following the founder's death.

  • 1882

    Louis Model founds a small hand pulping factory in Ermatingen, CH.
